HIGH POINT - Funeral for Steven Gray Gibson, 39, 132 E. Parris Ave., who died Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
Gibson was a lawyer and a native of High Point. He was a 1969 graduate of High Point Central High School, a graduate of High Point College and Wake Forest Law School.
Surviving are wife, Alice Garrard Gibson; daughters, Melissa Ann Gibson of Appalachian State University, Angela Faith Gibson of the home; mother, Mrs. Daisy L. Gibson of High Point; sister, Miss Margaret Elizabeth Gibson of Greensboro; brothers, Bryan Emerson Gibson of Greensboro, James Emory Gibson III of High Point.
The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, E. Lexington Ave., this evening from 7 to 8:30.

I remember Steve in one of my math classes. He asked me for help. (okay we all have our strengths and weaknesses!). I thought he was a pretty cool guy.
