TONY FRED KING, 61, resident of Greensboro, NC., passed away February 29, 2012.
A resident of this area all of his life, Tony was born on February 24, 1951 in High Point, NC., to Alfred King and Dixie Lutz King. Tony worked as a truck driver for Estes Express lines for 25 years and was a graduate of High Point Central High School, Class of 1969. He served his country in the US Marines and attended Emmanuel Luthern Church as a child. Tony had a love for Nascar and worked for Good-Year Racing, where he became friends with Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and the Alabama gang. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He will be remembered for all his good humor and greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his son, Austin King of Summerfield, his mother, Dixid King of Mobile, AL; his brother, Lewis Kings and his wife Kathi of Dothan, Alabama; his special cousins and extended family.
A celebration of Tony's life will be held at 7pm Monday at First Baptist Church of Summerfield with Pastor Carson Williams and Pastor Eric Simmons.
