Mr. Kirk was born in Pageton, W. Va. on August 5, 1951, a son to William E. and Freda Phipps Kirk. He was a 1969 graduate of High Point Central High School and was owner and operator of Second Helping Convenience Store on Highway 66. Mr. Kirk was a member of the Metrolina Athletic Association and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. On April 29, 1977, he was married to the former Kathy Yeatts, who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to the wife are three daughters, Mrs. Paige Rickard of High Point, Mrs. Alicia Flynt of Kernersville, and Miss Emily Kirk of the home; son, Jason Kirk of Kernersville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Kirk of Kernersville; and sister, Mrs. Gayle Beal of High Point.

Funeral arrangements for Mr. Kirk are incomplete at the Cumby Mortuary on Eastchester Drive in High Point.
