David Norman Presnell, 42, of 207 Whittier Ave., died Sunday at 5:17 a.m. at High Point Regional Hospital. He had been in declining health for the last three years and critically ill for one month.
He was born April 24, 1950, in Marion, a son of Charles David and Mildred Hollifield Presnell. He had lived in High Point most of his life and was employed with Desigh Concept Co. He was of the Baptist faith. On Sept. 1, 1968 he married Mary Edith Norton, who wurvives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Charles David Presnell of High Point, his mother, one brother Grady Hollifield of High Point, two sisters, Mrs. Luther (Mary Alice) Norton of High Point and Mrs. Kermit (Barbara) De Lish of Denton and one granddaughter.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Cumby Archdale Chapel by the Rev. Doug Byrd. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and other times at the Hollifield home on Eden Terrace.
