Kaye I. Tolbert

Kaye I. Tolbert of Calabash, NC left her earthly home on May 8, 2018 and entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in High Point, NC August 7, 1951 to the late Albert Ingold and Grace McKenzie Ingold. She is survived by her mother Alta Grace Ingold; husband, Jim Tolbert; children, Dustin Thacker and Brooke Tolbert Boyd, sister, Vicki Peters, and six wonderful grandchildren that she loved and cherished. She is leaving behind many nephews and nieces that she was proud of and loved. Kaye was preceded in death by her youngest son Tyler Tolbert. Kaye enjoyed being a homemaker but later in life embarked on a successful real estate career selling new homes. She loved cooking for family outings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. But most of all she loved being surrounded by her family, children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful and faithful caregiver to her mother. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, May 12, at 2 pm, at Grace Christian Fellowship, 1223 Highway 57 N, Little River, SC 29566. Kaye's family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be directed to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401, Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or the American Cancer Society, Atlanta, GA. Lee Funeral Home & Crematory, 11840 Hwy. 90, Little River, SC 29566 (843-390-2525) is handling the services for the family.
