EAST SMITHFIELD, Penn. --Luther (Luke) Teague Smith III, age 67, died at the Sayre Health Care Center in Sayre, Pennsylvania, on November 13, 2018. He had been in declining health for several years.
Born on December 7, 1950, in High Point, North Carolina, he later moved to East Smithfield Pennsylvania where he owned and operated Carolina Wholesale Furniture for thirty years.
Luke is survived by his son Brandon Smith of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Steve Smith of Thomasville, NC, and Phil Smith of High Point, NC; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jordan Smith, age 5, and
Whitney Smith, age 27.
He will be cremated and his ashes laid to rest at the Union Cemetery in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania, along side his two sons.
At his request there will be no funeral services.
A special thanks to Sayre Health Care Center for the exellent care provided during his stay; to the Hospice Staff and to his friends and family who visited and showed much care and love.
