HIGH POINT - Mary Ella Williams O'Neil, 67, departed this life on Monday June 17, 2019.
She was born on October 14, 1951, in High Point to the late Mr. Lumpkin Williams, Sr., and Mrs. Lucy Gertrude Williams.
Mary graduated from High Point Central High School in 1969. She was a faithful and devout believer who stood strong in her faith. Mary taught herself to play the autoharp, by ear, and sang songs around the house and in church. She also taught herself to sew and made of her own clothes. She was a fantastic cook and made the best meals for her family and friends.
Mary was preceeded in death by her parents and a sister, Brenda Faye Williams.
Mary is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lindsay O'Neil, of the home; her only son, Roger Wilson, Jr., of Maryville, Il; two granddaughters, Mia Chantelle Wilson and Aaysha Rachelle Wilson, both of Luton, England; seven brothers and sisters along with a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
The funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Living Water Baptist Church, 1300 Brentwood Street. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Guilford-Rand Cemetery, High Point.
