TRINITY - Madonna "Donna" Lynn Winfey Harill Smith, 72, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her residence of a massive heart attack.
She was born March 7, 1951, in Guilford Countyu and was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Etta Jane Tews Winfrey. She was a high school graduate of High Point Central, Class of 1969. She worked as an insurance agent for many years and retired from Benefit Control. Donna was a member of Archdale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shag dancing and loved the beach.She was a people-person who loved to sit and visit, but her greatest joy was being in the lives of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth "Ken" Harrill. Donna is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe Mike" Smith, whom she married on May 19, 2018; four step-daughters, Katherine Harrill Brooks (Jeff) of Southport, Elaine Harrill Trotter of Wake Forest, Patricia Harrill Maribona (Richardo) of Bolivia, North Carolina, and Deborah Harrill Rudolph (Scott) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Robert "(Bob) WSinfrey, Jr. (kay) of Trinity; and niece, Melanie Winfrey Munn (Henry) of Trinity.
Meorial service celebrating Donna's life will be help at 3:00 p.m. Sunday April 15, 2023, at Archdale United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Lee Officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday April 15, 2023, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Archdale United Methodist Church, 11543 N. Main Street, Archdale, NC 27263.
